SCARLETT CHESTNUT MARE FORSALE

16.3hh, 6 yr old, WB x ISH chestnut mare

Scarlet is a very smart looking horse that has comfortable big paces and good conformation. She is very safe and mannerly without being too kick along, she is responsive to the leg and will stay in whichever pace she is asked to (although if you wobble she will slow down, not speed up!). She has been hacked and enjoyed by both novice and experienced riders and is equally well behaved alone and in company. She will happily go first or last and is good in open spaces. She enjoys her work and her schooling is coming along well. She works nicely on the bridle in all 3 paces and tries her hardest to please – she doesn’t take offense if you ask her something incorrectly.

She has had a good all-round education – lots of hacking in different locations, XC schooling, mock hunted, cub hunted with OSBWK, lots of sponsored rides and trips to the local shows for dressage, XC and SJ. She has a big jump and is bold yet sensible. Snaffle mouth at all times. Currently, she has done more XC than SJ however we plan to get her out SJ over the next month or so. She is very well behaved at shows and does not hot up or get silly. She is good in the heaviest of traffic, including double decker buses, lorries, tractors, (dogs) etc

She is not at all mareish and does not get clingy to the other horses. She is very polite and mannerly to handle on the floor and is 100% to shoe, load, catch etc. She is affectionate and loves being groomed and getting a bit of attention. She is equally easy to clip (do not even need to tie her up!). She has no stable vices.

She has been owned by Vicki since she was a foal and was in livery with me for a long time. For the last few months, she has been stabled closer to Vicki’s home a few miles away, however she still comes and meets us (often to act as nanny) at the events that we go to (see pictures on the “Gallery”).

She would affiliate in all disciplines or would make a really smart, top riding club all rounder. She will look after a novice rider or give a more experienced person an enjoyable ride so would be also be suitable for a parent/child share or a husband/wife share.
