IRISH PIEBALD COB TIMMY

14.3hh, 5 year old Irish Piebald cob gelding - £3950

Timmy is the nicest little cob to have on the yard, you never hear a peep out of him, even if he is the only horse left on the yard. He is very polite and easy to handle both on the yard and in the field-he is not pushy or impatient and is happy to wait his turn. He is sociable and friendly with both horses and humans and doesn't mind the dogs running round his feet. He is a well put together cob with a surprising amount of bone without being 'common'. He is up to a good amount of weight and is light on his feet.

I really enjoy riding him as he is so nice in your hand and carries himself well, something you would expect from a much more mature horse. Out hacking, he gives you a lovely feeling, he is well balanced and not heavy or leaning on your hand at all, making him a pleasure to hack. He is willing and responsive but he will not do anything more than is asked of him and doesn't get offended if you wobble! He has been in a trekking centre in Ireland so is used to lots of different riders.

Our school is very big and open so can on occasion get a little wobbly if he gets tired or if the aids are a little vague. He is working well in all three paces and enjoys his work. His stamina and straightness will improve the more he does and it is only a matter of time-you can't hurry these things!

He is brilliant to clip and shoe and travels in both a trailer and lorry. Rock solid in heavy traffic and always ridden in a snaffle. We will be taking him shortly to the local show centre to do his first walk and trot test.
